I've pointed this out long before the season got under way. Lewis driving the F25 won't be a major problem as he will adapt to the car quickly. The problem I called out (that is now starting to reveal itself) is the breakdown of communication between his engineers and of course the infamous Ferrari strategy which ultimately affected both drivers. Yesterday, Lewis got a double dose of it and frankly I'm surprised he managed to keep his composure. Adami's robotic/monotone-like voice suited Carlos well, but will become an issue for Lewis as he's used to having a conversation-natured voice from his previous engineer Bono. Lewis and his new team engineers will need to come to grips sooner rather than later if they're trying to join the title fight!17-03-2025 15:56

From my observations, I suspect that Lando being friends with Max outside of racing is what's causing his missteps. I also, suspect that Lando also want to be a gentleman and race properly like Lewis. However, like Lewis, Lando has to understand that Max is not his friend on the track and as smart as he (Max) is he absolutely will make you pay if he smells blood. Now, I must say that as Hamilton fan, I've come to respect Max's racing style. Is it overly aggressive? Hell yes, but it makes the racing that much more exciting. I haven't seen this type of aggressiveness since Nico Rosberg left. Lewis as great as he is, he's a very calculated driver who knows when to be aggressive, but his natural abilities usually outshine his aggressive traits. Max on the other hand is right out the gate looking to destroy anyone who tries to come at him. I predict next year we will have some very exciting races between Max, LeClerc, Hamilton, and Fernando. These guys are the toughest racers on the track at the moment.22-10-2024 17:42

It's the side pods guys! He hinted at this in the interview, it's the one thing on the car that is different from any other car he's driven. He's not getting enough air flow into the pods to increase the downforce on the rear floor....he's sliding all over the place when he's high speed. George is managing it better only because he's a little bit sharper than Lewis right now in terms of adaptability. If Mercedes would just get rid of the damn things (side pods), I think we will see the W14 come alive. RedBull has done an amazing job though so hopefully its enough of a difference for Mercedes to get back in the fight for the championships!21-03-2023 16:43

Makes logical sense. At this point Ferrari has nothing to lose but all to prove so if I'm sitting at the executive meeting, I'm reaching out to all the Schumi era guys and sell them on the idea that re-joining is critical to the heritage of the Ferrari brand and money was not an object! It can be done!28-11-2022 14:20

Bret....the ride height benefitted most teams, not just Mercedes. Remember, it's not like it was a Mercedes development error, it was an F1 '23 error which caused multiple drivers great deals of pain with porpoising. Yes, Mercedes was the most vocal about it but hey when you have a 6'4 Austrian boss fighting for your team it's hard to miss.13-11-2022 15:32

At this rate, we won't find out until well into the winter testing. The McLaren "Spygate" of 2007 never took this long to investigate, and the FIA did two investigations on them (McLaren) that year. The evidence with Red Bull is clear, so why not make the call already FIA???18-10-2022 22:42

Can you show me evidence of your accusations of Mercedes "changing regulations almost at will"?18-10-2022 22:48
